DONATION OF SOLAR LAMPS FOR FISHERMEN’S SHELTER IN BALIK BUKIT, TANJUNG KLING, MELAKA
Tanjung Bruas Port, 23 January 2025 - As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Tanjung Bruas Port has donated three solar lamps, each with a capacity of 300 watts to the fishermen’s shelter in Kampung Balik Bukit, Tanjung Kling, Melaka. This contribution aims to provide convenience and comfort to the fishermen especially those who leave early in the morning or return late at night from the sea. The Head of Tanjung Bruas Port, En. Khairul Anuar Othman stated that this CSR program involves providing essential facilities to the fishermen in Kampung Balik Bukit who are in need of such support. “The installation of these solar lamps is a contribution from Tanjung Bruas Port as part of our efforts to ensure the fishermen’s shelter is brighter and safer particularly at night. This contribution also supports the fishermen in carrying out various activities, such as repairing nets, attaching floats and other related tasks,” he explained. En. Khairul also added that Tanjung Bruas Port is continuously creating job opportunities for the local community in Tanjung Kling.
