IMPLEMENTATION OF THE REVISED PORT TARIFF
– MALACCA PORT AUTHORITY (SCALE OF RATES, DUES AND CHARGES) BY-LAWS 2026 [P.U. (A) 328] FOR TANJUNG BRUAS PORT (TBP)
We wish to inform all our valued customers and port users that the Malacca Port Authority (Scale of Rates, Dues and Charges) By-Laws 2026 [P.U. (A) 328] (“By-Laws 2026”) was published in the Federal Government Gazette on 18 September 2026 and came into operation on 21 September 2026.
The By-Laws 2026 prescribe the revised rates, dues and charges applicable to port users at the Port of Malacca, including charges relating to port dues, pilotage services, tugboat services, mooring and unmooring, wharfage, stevedorage, cargo and container handling, cargo and container storage, general services and other applicable port charges.
Accordingly, Tanjung Bruas Port Sdn. Bhd. (“TBP”) will implement the revised port tariff in accordance with the applicable rates, dues and charges prescribed under the By-Laws 2026 with effect on 1 November 2026.
The revised tariff shall be read and applied together with the relevant provisions, schedules and conditions stipulated under the Malacca Port Authority (Scale of Rates, Dues and Charges) By-Laws 2026 [P.U. (A) 328].
For ease of reference, the revised tariff and applicable rates are set out in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Schedules of the By-Laws 2026. The By-Laws also provide for the applicable charges for ship, shipper/consignee, container and general port services.
All customers and port users are therefore advised to take note of the revised tariff and make the necessary arrangements to ensure compliance with the applicable rates and charges.
